About the Program

We are committed to providing a wonderful life for ALL of our dogs. All of our Breeding Dogs are pets. Our Guardian Program allows families that might not be able to have one of our dogs or families that want to support a "better way of breeding" to become part of our Oklahoma Labradoodles Family and Team.

A Guardian Family home is a place where one of our Australian Labradoodle dogs or puppies chosen specially for our Oklahoma Breeding Program lives as a wonderful family dog. Oklahoma Labradoodles retains all breeding rights, and guardian family gets a pet for reduced fee.

The Australian Labradoodle dog or puppy will live with you and come to Oklahoma Labradoodles only when required testing needs to be done, when it is time to be bred or when she is ready to have her puppies- health testing and any reproductive costs are that of Oklahoma Labradoodles.

  • Guardian family must live within a 300 mile radius of Hartshorne, Oklahoma.

  • Guardian family must feed a high quality dog food that Oklahoma Labradoodles approves.

  • Guardian family must consult with Oklahoma Labradoodles regarding health care and regular grooming.

  • Provide a safe environment that includes fenced yard. *If you live in the country and don't have a fenced yard, please feel free to apply and we can talk about other options.

  • Family must notify Oklahoma Labradoodles as soon as girl comes into heat and take precautions to keep unaltered males away. If girl is to be bred, transport her to Oklahoma Labradoodles for approximately 1 week and then pick her up. If girl is due to have puppies, transport her to Oklahoma Labradoodles at 5 to 7 days before delivery and pick her up approximately 8 weeks after delivery.

  • Guardian family must ensure dog is leashed trained, potty trained and crate trained and ensure that the dog/puppy is well socialized.

  • A willingness to accept and follow Oklahoma Labradoodles’ recommendations for the dog/puppy’s basic health care and veterinarian care, such as vaccine schedules, the use of certain medications, etc.

  • Transport Dog to Oklahoma Labradoodles for additional health testing (for approximately 1 week) at 6 months of age, but also upon Oklahoma Labradoodles discretion of date.

  • Oklahoma Labradoodles will cover all veterinary expenses and give shots as appropriate while dog is in Oklahoma Labradoodles care. While dog is in guardian home's care, they are responsible for day to day expenses and any veterinary costs not related to breeding.

  • A willingness to maintain open lines of communications with Oklahoma Labradoodles with any matter related to the dog/puppy.

  • Notify Oklahoma Labradoodles of new contact information if there is any change in telephone number or address.

  • Upon completion/fulfillment of the guardian home contract, dog will be spay/neutered, at Oklahoma Labradoodles expense, and ownership will be transferred from Oklahoma Labradoodles to guardian home.
